I don't consider myself worthy of their company, despite my desire for it

This ghazal expresses the poet's longing for companionship and love, but also a sense of unworthiness and resignation. In the first couplet, the poet acknowledges their desire for companionship but also expresses a lack of confidence in their ability to engage in meaningful conversation with others. In the second couplet, the poet seeks something that is ultimately unattainable, and when they do find it, they realize it was not what they truly wanted. The third couplet describes a dangerous situation at a gathering of beautiful fairies, where the poet's tears are mistaken for poison.

The fourth couplet reflects the poet's sense of physical inadequacy and longing for attention. In the fifth couplet, the poet compares their beloved to Majnun, a figure in Middle Eastern literature who was known for his madness and unrequited love. The sixth couplet reflects on the inevitability of death and the bravery required to face it. Finally, the seventh couplet speaks to the enduring nature of the poet's love, which is compared to the poetry of Navoi, a famous Uzbek poet.

I don't consider myself worthy of their company, despite my desire for it.

I don't like the conversation of anyone who seeks to be my friend.

I seek the sea, but when I find it, I realize my desire was foolish.

When I speak of the sea, my words don't do it justice.

At the gathering of beautiful fairies, my life is in danger.

If I shed a tear, it's mistaken for poison, and nobody will drink it.

My face and body lack the charm and beauty needed to attract attention.

My heart is full of longing, but my body remains ignored.

My beloved is like Majnun, lost in madness and love.

My heart cannot be swayed by anyone else.

Even if the rose blooms for a thousand years, it will not escape death.

Only a brave heart can face the inevitable end.

When the moon rises, it doesn't reach the level of Navoi's poetry.

My love for her will never diminish, no matter how much time passes.
